About ITC Riptide
ITC Riptide is the result of an experimental process British designer Timothy Donaldson developed using a Waacom tablet and MacPaint. By following the flow of movement of his hand, he created a series of shapes that were set to be filled in black. He kept drawing shapes, some of which worked as the basis of a letterform, to which he would then add the needed finishing elements to complete the letter. Some letters emerged on the first pass, like the capital R, while others came after several tries. |
