PhotoShop problems

Question: I have installed the large PC font file and now I cannot open Photoshop 7.  When it is opening, it freezes and the “reading fonts..” part then gives me an error message saying “Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error.  Sorry but this error is unrecoverable.”

Answer: You've installed way too many fonts in your fonts folder. Windows can hold up to around 1000 installed fonts, but the more you have installed, the more memory you allocate to reading fonts, which made your PhotoShop crash.

Remove some of the fonts you have installed. DO NOT remove system fonts such as Arial, Times New Roman etc.

Instead of installing all the fonts, unzip the file to a new folder somewhere on your hard drive. Get a font manager so you can preview all uninstalled fonts easily and even install them when needed.
